Why does Pushbullet think my device is offline?
Sometimes, Pushbullet makes sure it can talk to your device. If your device doesn’t respond in time, this can cause lost / delayed messages and other unexpected issues.
If Pushbullet thinks it can’t talk to your device, try these steps:
Android
-
Check for updates in the Play Store.
-
Try switching from WiFi to your data connection (or the other way). This will reveal if there is a network issue preventing us from talking to your phone.
-
Check to see if disabling any power saving modes on your Android phone helps (try here for guides).
-
Restart your phone (give it 30 seconds after booting up to get connected).
-
Did you restore the app with Titanium Backup? That can cause this error. Either do a clean install from the Play Store or tap Clear data for our app in Android’s system settings and sign back in.
Computer
- Go to https://stream.pushbullet.com/ and confirm you can connect there. If it says you cannot connect, something seems to be blocking us. Are you in an office? A network security policy could be the issue.
